TODAY’S DISCUSSION: DO YOU THINK CHRISTIANS SHOULD PRACTICE SURROGACY?

Surrogacy is an arrangement in which a woman carries and delivers a child for another couple or person. This woman, the surrogate mother, may be the child's genetic mother (called traditional surrogacy), or she may be genetically unrelated to the child (called gestational surrogacy).

In a traditional surrogacy, the child may be conceived via home artificial insemination using fresh or frozen sperm or impregnated via IUI (intrauterine insemination), or ICI (intracervical insemination) performed at a health clinic.
A gestational surrogacy requires the implantation of a previously created embryo, and for this reason the process always takes place in a clinical setting.
The intended parent or parents, sometimes called the social parents, may arrange a surrogate pregnancy because of female infertility, other medical issues which make pregnancy or delivery impossible, risky or otherwise undesirable, or because the intended parent or parents are male(Gays). The sperm or eggs may be provided by the 'commissioning' parents, but donor sperm, eggs and embryos may also be used.
When practicing surrogacy there is no form of sexual intercourse involved, and it is usually practiced by male couple (gay), female couple (lesbians) and straight couple (male and female couple) that are having fertility issues.  In the case of male and female couple, if the man can’t impregnate his wife simply because he is impotent or has a low sperm count, another man’s sperm is inserted into his wife’s private part medically (insemination) to fertilize the eggs. And if it is the woman that can’t get pregnant for one reason or the other, then the sperm of her husband is inserted into another woman’s vagina medically(insemination), and this woman would be paid to carry the pregnancy and deliver the baby.
Do you think it is good and advisable for Christians to practice surrogacy and if you are paid can you carry and deliver a child for another couple?
